Youth Impact
Youth Impact: Bringing Fitness Programs to Public Schools
As we enter the 2025–2026 school year, we are partnering with five public schools to provide students with free, high-quality after-school fitness programs.
Brookwood Elementary (Hillsboro School District)
Lincoln Street Elementary (Hillsboro School District)
Reedville Elementary (Hillsboro School District)
Free Orchards Elementary (Hillsboro School District)
Aloha Huber Park (Beaverton School District)
A total of 123 student-athletes will be participating in our programs this year. In these programs they will:
Develop functional strength through safe, age-appropriate exercises
Improve coordination, balance, and body awareness
Learn how to move efficiently and confidently
Build a love for movement.
We are excited for the opportunity to connect with new students at our new partner schools and to continue our work with returning students at schools we partnered with last year.
Student leaders share their experience
Meet Nayeli and Ethan, junior coaches in our program who started in second grade and are now sixth graders. Hear how their experiences have empowered them, built confidence, and positively impacted their lives.
Expanding Opportunities Through Partnerships
This year, we are continuing our partnership with Post 58 to offer a unique rock-climbing experience at Portland Rock Gym.
Last year, twenty of our student-athletes had the chance to challenge themselves and step outside the gym to enjoy a fun, active experience led by teen mentors from Post 58.
Events like this provide our students with more than just physical fitness—they offer them the chance to try new things, discover hidden talents, and build lasting memories with their peers.
Working with Post 58, an organization dedicated to empowering youth and building community, made this experience even more special. Their commitment to youth development and community building aligns perfectly with our mission of creating opportunities for students to grow into well-rounded, active individuals.

Enriching Opportunities: Raise the Bar Weightlifting Meet
One of the most exciting milestones for our student-athletes last year was their participation in the Raise the Bar weightlifting meet! This event marked both the first-ever fundraiser of its kind for our organization and the first time our students completed a six-week weightlifting training program culminating in a competition.
Our students had the opportunity to train consistently, build strength, focus, discipline, and teamwork through the guidance of USAW certifiied staff. They not only mastered the fundamentals of weightlifting but also learned the value of goal-setting, perseverance, and celebrating progress.
The Raise the Bar event was more than a showcase of physical ability—it was a celebration of hard work, achievement, and community. Families, local supporters, and volunteers came together to cheer on the students while helping raise essential funds to grow and sustain our after-school fitness programs.
We are excited to do it again this school year, with the next Raise the Bar event scheduled for Saturday, April 17th, 2026.
