Girls strength & conditioning
Supported by the Sport Oregon She Flies Grant Program
FIT FOR LIFE
Strength changes the way our girls see themselves.
When girls realize they can lift something they once thought was too heavy, something shifts. They stand a little taller. They learn to take more risks and take on challenges. They begin to understand that they are capable of more than they imagined.
Through Girls Strength & Conditioning: Fit for Life, girls discover that there is power in strength—and confidence in what their bodies can do. Over time, that strength becomes part of how they see themselves. Being strong, capable, and active isn’t just something they do here—it becomes part of who they are. Fit for life is not a program; it’s an identity.
Support from Sport Oregon and their She Flies grant program, we can continue to fuel this work and allow more girls to have consistent access to strength training in a supportive school environment.
Why Girls in Sports Matter
The Challenge
Girls often drop out of sports at higher rates than boys
Fewer girls participate in strength training, in part because it isn’t commonly introduced in a way that encourages them to see it as something for them.
Female coaches are underrepresented in strength training environments, limiting girls’ exposure to women leading in sport and performance spaces.
OUR SOLUTION
Girls are introduced to structured strength training in a supportive, school-based environment.
Our coaches create a space where girls are encouraged, challenged, and seen as capable from day one.
Positive female coaches are part of our program, helping girls experience what leadership in fitness can look like.
Girls don’t just hear “you can do it”—they experience it through strength training. Every rep builds confidence in what they’re capable of.
